“I can’t fault the home and the staff in comparison to other homes we work with. They communicate with us and always share concerns and are ready to come in to support * when necessary. I am aware they are trying to chase **’s EHCP and are working with us to achieve this. We work together well in a multi-agency manner and KG always responds straight away when I email her or telephone. She makes sure staff are on hand first and last thing during the school day for formal handovers which are both verbal and written. In terms of his time with us * does not seem to be a child who is not wanting to be at the home and I think he is valued and supported there”.
I spoke to W who is a coordinator for the stables where ** attends for horse riding lessons. She said she has been present on occasions when ** has visited for his lessons and has observed that he is always on time for them. The stables have a What’s App group for communication and the staff always let them know if he is not coming for his lesson or if he has an appointment. W informed me that ** looks well cared for and the staff who bring him are always polite and they encourage him in his hobby. W said she has no concerns about the home or how ** is looked after and supported at the lessons.
